Prasarak Mandal, Shri Yashwant Shikshan In Kodoli (Kolhapur), Yashwant Ayurvedic College was established by Kodoli in 1989. The historical and well-known Kolhapur city in Maharashtra State, where there is an air port and railway station, is 25 kilometers distant from Kodoli. TThe institution is located in the well-known hill station of Panhala Taluka. Kodoli and National Highway No. 4 are only ten kilometers apart. The college is associated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and has received recognition from the Maharashtra government, the Central Council of Indian Medicine, and the Ministry of AYUSH, all located in New Delhi. State of Maharashtra There are currently 100 spots available for the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (B.A.M.S.) undergraduate program.
The program consists of a one-year internship and four and a half years of training in the allopathic and ayurvedic medical systems. The M.D./M.S. program in Ayurveda was launched in 2006 and covers 15 subjects, including Rognidan, Agadtantra, and Shalakya Tantra. Eight additional subjects, including Ayurveda Samhita, Rachana Sharir, Rasashastra, Swasthavritta, Strirog Prasutitantra, Kaumarbhritya, Kayachikitsa, and Shalya Tantra, are started in 2010, and Sharir Kriya, Dravyaguna, Panchakarm, and Sangyaharana in 2013, are also Ph.D. programs in five subjects. The college and hospital meet the standards set forth by C.C.I.M., New Delhi. The college is connected to a 268-bed Ayurvedic hospital that is licensed under the Bombay Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949, and has both modern and traditional medical treatment options, such as I.C.U. and N.I.C.U., in addition to traditional Ayurvedic treatment facilities like Panchakarma, Ksharsutra, and yoga.
