Vidarbha Ayurved Mahavidyalaya

Vidarbha Ayurved Prasarak Mandal was founded by the late Vaidyaraj P.D. Muley to promote Indian medicine, which is a component of Mahatma Gandhi’s Swadeshi Mission to promote Indian culture during the British rule. Mandal founded Vidarbha Ayurved Mahavidyalaya as part of this objective to teach Indian youngsters about Ayurveda and to assess and promote Indian medical systems. It was the first Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya in the Vidarbha region, complete with a pharmacy, hospital, and well-equipped college. It was given to Shri Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal by Vidarbha Ayurved Prasarak Mandal in 1983. The college flourished and advanced under the capable direction of Padmashree Shri. Prabhakarrao Vaidya, General Secretary. In the Department of Shalya, Shalakya, Kayachikitsa & Swasthavritta, new P.G. courses have begun.2008 saw Mahavidyalaya establish itself as the first Ayurvedic Institute with a fully functional computer lab and internet access. in order to provide computer science fundamentals to aspiring physicians who practice Indian medicine. It will support the advancement of novel research methods and methodologies in the field of ayurvedic science. The college comprises 14 well-equipped departments with highly skilled faculty members and complete research facilities. Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, located in Nashik, is affiliated with Vidarbha Ayurved Mahavidyalaya.
