The Rural Ayurvedic College & Research Centre in VEERPULIKESHI VIDYAVARDHAK SAMASTHS was founded in 1997. The college is situated in Karnataka’s Badami. The college is a part of the long-standing Shri Veer Pulikeshi Vidya Vardhaka Samstha educational system. The institute offers a graduate education in Ayurvedic studies along with a lot of infrastructure facilities and amenities. The Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), New Delhi, and the Indian government have certified VEERPULIKESHI VIDYAVARDHAK SAMASTHS Rural Ayurvedic College & Research Centre. The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Karnataka is connected to the college.
VEERPULIKESHI VIDYAVARDHAK SAMASTHS Rural Ayurvedic College & Research Centre has the following infrastructure and facilities, benefitting the students:
Departments & Museums: As per the norms of CCIM, the college has 14 departments with reading materials and digital charts, fully equipped museums & laboratories including preserved specimens & dummy models.
Classrooms: The institute has audio-visual classrooms with Slide/LCD/Over Head Projector facilities to fulfill the academic standards.
Library and reading room: There is a huge Library that is equipped with over 7000 books and a reading room facility provided with convenient and comfortable seating arrangements.
Pharmacy: The college has a well equipped pharmacy with capsule filing and punching machines, Pulveriser, etc. so as to meet the demand of medicines in the hospital.
Herbal Garden: A vast herbal garden is built in about 6 acres of land with over 400 identified species of medicinal herbs and shrubs. The garden is maintained near the college to serve the purpose of teaching.
Hospital: The institution has a well-equipped 120-bedded Hospital that is maintained along with a separate OPD Block, kshara sootra laboratory, full-pledged Panchakarma unit provided with high-tech instruments, an operation theatre, X-ray unit, pathology lab, ECG Unit & other modern facilities offering classical as well as latest therapies for patients.
Teaching Faculty: There is highly experienced post–graduate staff for full time service.
Hostel: The college has separate hostel facilities for men and women separately. The hostel is fully equipped with all faculties’ and amenities.
Sports: An outdoor playground that measures about 6 acres and a multipurpose indoor stadium filled with lots of sports materials are offered to encourage various sports activities.
