About College
It was founded in 1996–1997 by His Holiness Padmabhushana Jagadguru Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji, who was the pioneer of Anna Dasoha (Service through Food), Akshara Dasoha (Service through Education), and Arogya Dasoha (Service through Health). Sri Kalabyraveshwara Swamy Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Centre, Bangalore, operating under Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust(R). The college is approved by the Department of Ayush, Government of India, the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, the Government of Karnataka, and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
Each batch of 100 undergraduate students at Sri Kalabyraveshwaraswamy Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Center (SKAMCH & RC) get an excellent education and all the resources they need to learn science and become qualified Ayurvedic doctors. In 2010–2011, postgraduate studies were initiated. With six students in each batch, SKAMCH & RC offers post-graduate instruction in five distinct Ayurvedic branches: Panchakarma, Kayachikitsa, Prasuti Tantra Evam Stri Roga, Shalya Tantra, and Shalakya Tantra. Additionally, SKAMCH & RC offers Ph.D. programs, which were launched in 2018 in two specialization fields of Panchakarma and Kayachikitsa. The goal of SKAMCH & RC is to be a model of excellence, known throughout Karnataka for its cutting-edge research endeavors, inventive teaching methods, and creative practice techniques.
