Shri Ayurved Prachar Sanstha is a public charitable trust that is registered. By Registration Number E-115, issued January 5, 1953 For the past 57 years, the propagation and promotion of Ayurveda has been dedicated to serving humanity. The University of Mumbai’s Faculty of Ayurveda, in affiliation with the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) of the Government of India, New Delhi, initially offered BSAM undergraduate courses. Later, however, the course was renamed to BAMS for UG students. Courses for postgraduate students studying Samhita and Kayachikitsa were introduced in 1982. Two additional subjects, Dravyaguna and Rasashastra, were declared in 1992.The Smt. Kamaladevi Gauridutt Mittal Puanrvasu Ayurved Mahavidyalaya was associated with the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi, and the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, in 1998.
The school consistently keeps up its welcoming environment for students, complete with well-equipped classrooms that have overhead projectors and traditional blackboards. A vast library with 21034 volumes on ayurveda and allied subjects, 315 manuscripts, and a collection of P.G. Thesis since 1981 A total of 282 theses, journals, and a compilation of MUHS question papers There is an e-library with WiFi, sufficient air-conditioned rooms, and IPD and OPD facilities where hygienic practices are closely monitored.Large amounts of pure ayurveda medicines are created and provided at minimal prices. The institute’s specialties are pure ayurveda treatment and successful Panchakarma therapy, which have made it a popular center for an authentic Ayurvedic treatment. The institute opened a stand-alone, fully furnished CT and MRI imaging center in the Ayurvedic Hospital. The Institute maintains a 3.5-acre botanical garden with over 269 species and around 12,000 plants for medical purposes. The institute was given a distinguished BMC Cleanest Hospital award.
