About College
The Sri Sai Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital (SAMC) in Aligarh is a vision that is progressively coming to pass. It is just a memorial to Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi, who encouraged the institution’s founder, Sri Rakesh Gupta, to dedicate an institution to Ayurveda, the oldest and most prestigious medical science in India. In order to operate an Ayurvedic College, the founder of Om Sri Sai Shiksha Samiti donated his rich herbal estate and grove, which covered a sizable ten acres on the outskirts of Aligarh (G. T. Road), to the Society in April 2002 after it was established and registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860.
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (B.A.M.S.) program was initially offered by Sri Sai Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, which was the first institution in Uttar Pradesh to establish permanent affiliation with Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra.
It has the U.P. government’s N.O.C. and Essentiality Certificate, meeting the prerequisites for the Central Council of Indian Medicine (C.C.I.M.), New Delhi, to allot a sufficient number of seats. The initial intake of 50 seats for admission to the B.A.M.S. degree program was granted by the C.C.I.M. in the first year of 2002.
