Gulben Kharaba Ayurvedic MahavidyalayaOn July 1st, 1946, Dhanwantri College was established via the collaborative efforts of educators, students, and the Gulabkunverba Ayurvedic Society. Subsequently, this college became associated with the Board of Gujarat and the State Faculty of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine, Bombay. Since 1976, a course that grants a B.A.M.S. degree has been undertaken and approved by C.C.I.M. This college is currently a component college of this university.
The well-established and well-equipped Shri Gulabkunwarba Ayurveda College is a model college. It is located in the magnificent, spacious Dhanwantari Mandir structure. It features large classrooms, a well-stocked dissection hall, labs, museums, and a hospital for clinical and hands-on education.
The college features a sizable hospital with 150 beds available for admittance of inside patients. Treatment options offered by the facility include naturopathy, yoga, panchakarma, ksharasutra, and maternity services. There are separate residence halls for males and females at the college.
The total number of students admitted to this college for standard B.A.M.S. courses is 60 (50+10). Two hospital physicians and a total of 35 highly competent teachers assist the college’s educational initiatives.
This college offers a four and a half year Bachelor of Arts program (B.A.M.S.) that includes a mandatory one-year internship. A cohort of B.A.M.S. students studying in English has only been available to international students and NRI-sponsored candidates since 1999.
