About College
Founded in 1998, Shri Basaveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha Ayurved Medical College & Hospital offers a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (B.A.M.S.) degree. The college has received approval from the Karnataka government, is associated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, and has been acknowledged by the Department of AYUSH in New Delhi as well as the Central Council of Indian Medicine. With a yearly intake capacity of fifty students, postgraduate courses will soon be offered.
There is a 150-bed teaching hospital connected to the college. Excellent infrastructure with in-house facilities for treating all patient kinds, along with well-trained supporting personnel and highly qualified doctors attending to OPD and IPD wards, make this facility well-established. There are executive rooms, special rooms, and separate general wards for men and women. The hospital features a pathology facility, physiotherapy unit, dispensing pharmacy unit, and diagnostic wing. An operation room that is well-equipped to treat cases of appendicitis, hernias, anorectal illnesses, general operations, etc.
