About College
The goal of Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences’ founding was to educate everyone about ayurveda. The late Dr. U. Krishna Muniyal, who founded Muniyal Ayurveda in 1940 and was an Ayurvedic practitioner for more than 40 years, served as the institution’s inspiration. Mahatma Gandhi was treated by renowned Ayurvedic physician Pandith Taranath, whose immediate mentor was Dr. U. Krishna.
Run by the Dr. U. Krishna Muniyal Memorial Trust (R), the Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences is housed in a large 50,000 square foot structure that also houses the super specialty Ayurvedic hospital Muniyal Ayurveda Hospital & Research Institute.
The institution aims to teach students Ayurveda through the use of contemporary scientific methods, preparing them for the difficulties that lie ahead once they finish their studies. Additionally, it will inspire students to get involved in Ayurvedic research. The college is prepared to take advantage of every opportunity for medical education and paramedical sciences given its advantageous location.
