The Loknete Rajarambapu Patil Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital, P.G. Institute & Research Center was established in 2002 by Prakash Shikshan Mandal and is located on Sangli Road in Islampur. Islampur town is just the hub for the nearby towns, which are 40 km away from Kolhapur, 40 km away from Sangli, and 28 km away from Karad, all of which have domestic airports.With a population of approximately 1,15,000, Islampur Nagar Parishad is expanding daily in all spheres, including agriculture, industry, and education, and it is well-represented in the Sangli District Picture. Only three kilometers separate it from National Highway #4.
The Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, the Department of AYUSH, New Delhi, and the Maharashtra government have all recognized Loknete Rajarambapu Patil Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital, P.G. Institute & Research Center. It is also affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, Maharashtra.
The college can accept 100 students for its U.G. course, the B.A.M.S. (Ayurvedacharya), which lasts for five and a half years and includes a one-year internship. Ayurvedic Ph.D. admissions are limited to 30 and P.G. courses (M.D. & M.S.) to 64 students at the college.
In accordance with CCIM, New Delhi guidelines, this college has 14 fully committed departments. possessing trained hospital staff, non-teaching staff, and qualified and experienced teaching faculty. The college offers dorms for both genders as well as a playground for both indoor and outdoor recreation. There are 244 beds in the teaching hospital at Loknete Rajarambapu Patil Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital, P.G. Institute & Research Center. The hospital satisfies the requirements of CCIM, New Delhi, and is situated in a spacing sight with nine OPDs and sufficient skilled staff.This hospital offers both modern (I.C.U., N.I.C.U., Sonography, Treadmill, etc.) and traditional Ayurvedic therapy services (Panchakarma, Kshar Sutra, Yoga, etc.).
