Pujya Kalmathada Established in 1996 by a committed group of Ayurvedic enthusiasts led by His Holiness, Sri. Shavasthala, the Shri Virupaksha Shivacharya (KPSVS) Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital is located in Manvi, Karnataka.Brahmin.Under the auspices of His Holiness Sri. Shavasthala, the pontiff of Sri Muttinapende Hiremath (Kalmath), Manvi, is Shivamurthy Shivacharya MahaSwamiji.Brahmin.The former pontiff of Sri Muttinapende Hiremath (Kalmath), Manvi, was Virupaksha Shivacharya MahaSwamiji.
Situated in a structure with a pleasing architectural and practical design, the institution spans ten acres of land and features well-equipped laboratories, a dissection hall, a display hall, a herb garden, and a library and a reading hall.There are separate dorms for guys and girls at the college. The Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), located in New Delhi, has granted the college recognition. One of the most renowned colleges in the state of Karnataka, it offers all the amenities required by the CCIM in terms of infrastructure.
With 60 beds, the college has its own ayurvedic hospital where students receive practical instruction. Our OPD and IPD treat a large number of patients, giving our students valuable clinical experience in a hospital setting.
There are about 500 medicinal plants in the well-developed and cared-for herbal garden at the College, some of which are uncommon species. Additionally, the college has equipment set up to produce a variety of Ayurvedic medicines, especially those made using the college’s traditional Ayurvedic formulations. Additionally, it contains a drug production facility where students receive practical training in the process of making drugs.
The college library is enormous, with thousands of volumes dedicated to complementary and alternative medicine.The reading hall of the library is large.In addition to providing top-notch clinical facilities, the college hosts a variety of academic events, such as seminars and workshops at the state and national levels, to enhance students’ educational experiences.The college’s faculty is made up of senior instructors who have been carefully chosen and have a strong focus on research. There are separate dorms for guys and girls at the campus.It follows that it is not surprising that students from all around India attend the college.
