About College
The former Maharaja of Travancore founded the Government Ayurveda College in Thiruvananthapuram in 1889. It was the first institution in Kerala, India, to provide both high-quality Ayurvedic instruction and treatment. It operates out of a beautifully constructed facility in the center of Thiruvananthapuram. This oldest organization encourages research while spreading classical Ayurvedic teaching and treatment. The institution has 133 seats available for admission each year and is associated with Keral University of Health Sciences (KUHS). It is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM).
