About College
The Institute was founded in the Bihar State city of Begusarai on August 1, 1946. With 30 seats available each year, the college is associated with Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, in the state of Bihar. Ayodhya Prasad Singh, a social worker and landlord in this area, built the college, which was named Ayodhya Shivkumari Ayurveda College. In order to create and support the college, he gave a sizable portion of his own land. Up until 1976, the institute operated as a for-profit Ayurvedic college. The institute is taken over by the Bihar government in 1977, and as of May 25, 1977, it is operated as a government institution under the name Government Ayodhya Shivkumari Ayurved College and Hospital, Begusarai.
The renowned Ayurvedic luminaries Dr. Sukhdev Sharma, Dr. Dharma Narayan Jha, Dr. (Prof) P. V. Sharma, and Dr. Ram Raksha Pathak held the position of institute principal. There were 60 students admitted to the institution during its first year of operation, and many of the graduates are currently employed in the state, local area, district, and even beyond. Dr. Shiv Kumar Mishra worked for the Indian government’s Department of Health as an Ayurvedic health advisor. The institute is located in the center of the city, close to ½ K.M. and the north border wall of the Begusarai railway station.
The Suhrida Nagar Post Office’s institute locality is a verdant, green space situated in front of administrative officer mansions such as those of the DM, SP, and Judge. The institute features a sizable, brightly lit, air-conditioned facility for its academics and hospital, complete with a large, lush lawn in the middle and Dhanwantari Mandir. On campus, there are numerous varieties of medicinal plants, shrubs, and herbs all around the college building. Even yet, the government has suggested a brand-new, multistory, state-of-the-art structure that will be built separately for the hospital and academics, and construction will soon begin.
