The Govindbhai Jorabhai Patel Institute of Ayurvedic Studies & Research is a significant milestone in the history of self-financing colleges. It was founded in 2006–07 as the first English-medium Ayurvedic college in the state of Gujarat and as a Model Ayurvedic college in the nation using cutting edge technologies.The college accepts 100 students each year for admission. Beginning as a tiny outpatient department in January 2005, the Surajben Govindabhai Patel Ayurveda Hospital and Maternity Home has advanced significantly in the medical field. The Institute helps students stand out in this cutthroat environment by fostering the development of their whole personality.
Located in the Indian state of Gujarat, Anand is home to the GJ Patel Institute of Ayurvedic Studies & Research. It was founded in 2006 and is associated with Gujarat Ayurved University. It has received accreditation from the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). GJIASR, Anand provides one course in one stream—medical—across one degree—BAMS. There is no hostel accessible for its students.
The college has a well-stocked library with over 12,000 helpful books available in a variety of dialects. In addition to several renowned publications, a range of news sources, news letters, e-materials, etc. The bar coding system installed in the library guarantees secure borrowing.Each department has a well-equipped laboratory with advanced equipment to provide students with hands-on training.
The College has a unique plantation of more than 350 types of medicinal plants spread across 10 acres of well-planned garden space. Traditional plantation concepts are also illustrated, with different plant species being planted according to Ayurvedic, Botanical, and Astronomical classifications such as Ganas and Skandas.
Students have access to an air-conditioned computer center with Internet connectivity and over 25 PCs, which they can use for projects. The pupils take a course on basic computer instruction.
The College is connected to a fully operational, luxurious hospital with 300 indoor beds, several specialist outpatient departments, and 60,000 annual patient visits.
