About College
In 1971, the Government Autonomous Ayurvedic College & Hospital was founded in Jabalpur. The college is located on the banks of the sacred Narmada River, close to the Gwarighat Railway Station.It was granted autonomy by the Madhya Pradesh government in 1997. It is currently associated with Jabalpur’s Rani Durgawati University, and it will shortly be associated with Jabalpur’s N.B.S. Medical University of Health Sciences. The college offers a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (B.A.M.S.) program that may accommodate up to 40 students annually. The course will take a total of five and a half years.(4 + ½ years of core coursework + 1 year of required rotational internship)
