Dr. Radhakrishnan Sarvepalli The first Ayurvedic university in Rajasthan and the second in India of its sort is Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur. It was created by the RAU Act -2002 (Act No. 15 of 2002), which was published in the Gazette on May 24, 2003, under the number F25 (6) Ay. /2000. For Ph.D., PG, UG, Diploma, and Certificate programs, this university grants affiliation to all Ayurvedic, Unani, Homeopathic, Yoga, and Naturopathic schools and institutes. This university uses a joint entrance exam administered at the state and national levels to admit students to its degree programs.
The university has two constituent DAN & P training centers, one at Kadvad Campus and another at Poonjala Campus in Jodhpur; it also has one constituent University College of Unani, located in University’s Charai, Tonk Campus. The university has its own University College of Ayurved, located at Kadvad Campus, Jodhpur. The main campus of Jodhpur is located in Kadwad, Jodhpur, on the Jodhpur-Nagaur Highway. It spans more than 322 acres and is intended to house a number of amenities, including a central administrative building, a hospital with 196 beds, an academic building, residential quarters, a sports complex, a pharmacy, a Panchakarma Center of Excellence, a guest house of distinction, a canteen, and a mess.
Through its affiliated colleges, this university offers BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BNYS, B.Sc. (Ayurved Nursing), MD (Ayu.), MD (Homoeo), Ph.D. (Ayurveda), and certain Diploma and Certificate programs. This university is recognized under section 2/F from UGC by letter no. F9-30/2003 (CPI-I) dated 15/03/2004 & CCIM, CCH, etc.
