About College
Aurangabad is home to Chhatrapati Sahu Maharaj Shikshan Sanstha. In June 1989–1990, Padmakarrao Haribhau Mulay founded the college. With 108 available seats annually, CSMSS Ayurved Mahavidayalya and Ruganalaya is connected with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. The college is approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine and the Department of AYUSH, which are part of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. The college building houses well-equipped labs, a dissection lounge, large exhibition halls, museums, internet-connected classrooms, and a library.
Over 300 different types of medicinal plants are kept in reserve in the herbal garden at Chhatrapati Sahu Maharaj Shikshan Sanstha. Not many threatened plant species may be found here. Modern machinery is set up at our pharmacy to produce a range of traditional Ayurvedic remedies.
The library at Chhatrapati Sahu Maharaj Shikshan Sanstha is rather large. It features an expansive reading room and a tastefully decorated area with over 12,000 volumes on Ayurvedic and related remedies. The library has subscriptions to essential scientific journals. The College operates an Ayurvedic Hospital with 220 beds. Many patients visit our OPDs and IPDs, which helps our students gain more clinical experience.
