Located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Aligarh is home to the Aligarh Unani & Ayurvedic Medical College. It was founded in 1993 and is associated with Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University. It has received accreditation from the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) of the Government of India. AUAMC, Aligarh provides two courses in one stream, medical, and two degrees, BAMS and BUMS. There is no hostel accessible for its students. There are also other campus amenities including the Boys Hostel, Canteen, Library, Computer Lab, Medical Facilities, Class Room, and Trans. AUAMC boasts a 2000 square meter, expansive campus with exquisite infrastructure. It features an indoor hospital with more than 100 beds for patient care, research, and student clinical training.
Every day, more than 100 patients receive specialist Ayurvedic therapy in the various OPDs and IPDs of ACN Hospital. This hospital treats a large number of patients with neurological disorders, paralysis, arthritic issues, immune-related disorders, infertility, asthma, skin diseases, etc. There are well-established herb gardens available for instruction and training. Most of these services are provided without charge thanks to funding from the Indian and Uttar Pradeshn governments.
