One of the top Ayurvedic institutions in Karnataka is Mahaganapati Ayurvedic Medical College of Shri Guru Education Trust, which was founded with the goal of educating both rural and urban areas of the state about Ayurveda. It was founded in 1992. It was previously affiliated with Karnataka University, Dharwad; however, it became affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore, in 1996. Since then, the college’s and hospital’s admission capacity has increased from 60, and they are recognized by the Department of AYUSH, the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.
The medical program in Karnataka is designed after the Mahaganapati Ayurvedic Medical College, where clinical practice is introduced from the outset. Students enrolled in the second, third, and final years attend rounds in the Mahaganapati Ayurvedic Medical Center, the most up-to-date hospital in the ILKAL. Students at our Mahaganapati Ayurvedic Medical College interact with patients of all ages. Students also practice taking patient histories and doing physical examinations on our campus.A large, well-stocked library, an anatomy dissection theater, a physiology lab, staff rooms, a conference room, an exam room, and lecture halls are all located within the college building. The college offers resources for computer-based learning, multimedia instruction, and online learning, guaranteeing current and superior ayurvedic education.
The hospital, which has a state-of-the-art panchakarma facility and ultra-modern facilities, is connected to the Mahaganapati Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital. There are nine outpatient departments (OPDs) in the hospital: Kayachikitsa, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, Prasooti Tantra & Stree Roga, Koumarabhritya, and Atyayeeka Chikitsa. In these OPDs, patients receive consultations from relevant professionals. Every day, between 150 and 200 patients use these facilities.
