Founded in 1975, Govt. Ayurved College is a government college located in Bolangir. With an annual intake of 30 seats, the college is associated with Sambalpur University, which is situated in Odisha.One of the three ayurveda colleges in Odisha and the oldest ayurvedic institute in Western Odisha is the Govt ayurveda College Balangir. On May 5, 1975, this college was founded under private management, with the active support of Balangir’s distinguished inhabitants.
It was taken over by the Orissan government on July 1, 1984. The college operates out of a facility on 9.141 acres of land that it owns. This college is located in Tulsi Nagar in Balangir, near the Circuit House, 02 km from the Balangir Govt Bus Stop and 02 km from the Balangir Road Railway Station. The historic Gandhamardhan Mountain Range and Chausathi Yogini Shrine, Ranipur Jharial, are located 90 km to the west and south, respectively, of this establishment.
