About College
The late Saint Shri Swami Atmanand Saraswati founded the trust known as Shri Tapi Brahmacharyashram Sabha, Surat, which is responsible for the management of the attached Shri Swami Atmanand Saraswati Ayurvedic Hospital (Grant-in-aid), Gujarat. Since its founding in 1946, this trust has been the only educational institution offering Ayurvedic education and providing Ayurvedic medical care to the underprivileged in the South Gujarat region.
The connected hospital was founded in 1948 with the intention of offering the underprivileged residents of the undeveloped area affordable and efficient medical care.Located on Lal Darwaja Road, close to the railway station in Surat, the college and hospital share a single campus.
Every year, there is a cap of 63 students admitted (intake). Only U.G. – Under Graduate of BAMS courses are offered by the college. In all of south Gujarat, it is the sole government-funded ayurvedic college.
The majority of the patients at our hospital receive ayurvedic therapy; they are largely from Surat city’s neighboring areas in South Gujarat. The hospital offers a wide range of facilities, including well-stocked radiology, physiotherapy, dental, and panchkarma departments. Regular yoga sessions are lead by a yoga expert, and there are well equipped gyms, dining areas for patients, and staff. Good facilities, such as large lecture halls with projectors, student-only labs, a discussion room, a herb garden, sports facilities, etc., are abundant at the college. In the field of ayurveda, our college is among the best. We are making an effort to provide the hospital patients and students with our best work.
