About College
A private college founded in 2001, Nangelil Ayurved College is located in Ernakulam. With 40 places available each year, the college is associated with Kerala’s M.G. University, Kottayam.From the academic year 2001–2002, the College was associated with Mahatma Gandhi University for degree programs. Later, in 2010, the College became affiliated with Kerala University for Health Sciences. Admission to degree programs was handled by M.G. University up until the 2009–10 academic year. The 2010–2011 academic year saw the admission of the first cohort under KUHS.
The admissions process rigorously adheres to the guidelines that the Kerala government has from time to time specified. The current admission capacity is 60 each year, of which 100% will be obtained through the NEET entrance exams administered by Prof. Dr. A.G. Prasannakumari, MD (Ay). The principal is a retired government Ayurveda College administrator, researcher, clinician, and experienced academic.
The manager of administration, Mr. C.C. Vasu, is in charge of the college’s daily administrative affairs.
This self-financing college was established with the intention of teaching true Ayurvedic wisdom. It offers the five and a half-year Ayurvedic Acharya (BAMS) course, which has been certified by the CCIM by letter FNo. 4-10/2002/Ay (1) dated 22.07.12 of CCIM New Delhi. The esteemed physician Dr. K. A. Bhaskaran serves as the trust president, and the board of directors of the trust oversees the College in its entirety.
