About College
Located in the Shimoga district, at the entrance to the gorgeous Malnad region of Karnataka, Bapuji Ayurvedic Medical College is one of the most renowned and excellent ayurvedic medical colleges. Under BAPUJI Educational Trust ® Honnali, the college is operated. The college is associated with Bangalore’s Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and has received approval from the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), a branch of the Indian government. The college opened for business in 1996. The college is connected to a hospital where all students will receive first-rate clinical experience in addition to classroom instruction from highly qualified, seasoned, and committed faculty members.
The college features fourteen well-equipped departments, a sizable library, and the necessary laboratories. The highly skilled and knowledgeable faculty in each subject enhances the knowledge of undergraduate students. Regular guest lectures, seminars, CME, and workshops are planned to help students advance academically.
The campus of Babuji Ayurvedic Medical College, or BAMC, spans ten acres. The main administrative building, hospital (IPD & OPD), college building, canteen, and hostel are all located on the campus. BAMC has a pharmacy and a hospital with 60 beds.
The college has a well-equipped laboratory that is helpful in conducting experiments as needed to complete the course and complies with CCIM standards. During college hours, the lab is open to students under the supervision of a lab technician.
Outpatient Department: All medical specializations are offered by the hospital as outpatient services. The public can schedule a consultation from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on weekends and public holidays.
The BAMC inpatient department is equipped with 60 beds and provides basic amenities such as beds and cots, bathrooms and toilets, hot water, and all clinical requirements to meet the needs of patients with various health concerns.
There are enough skilled and knowledgeable medical and paramedical employees, therapists, and technicians working at the facility. The facility has specialized treatment rooms and a panchakarma theater. Surgery and parasurgical procedures are carried out in an operating room.
