About College
With the blessings of the late His Holiness Dr. Tontadar Siddhalinga Mahaswamiji, Dambal Gadag, the SINDAGI SHANTAVEERESHWAR AYURVEDIC MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL was founded in 1992 with the goal of advancing the Indian system of Ayurveda medicine. Today, with the blessings of Dr. Tontada Siddharama Mahaswamiji, Dambal Gadag, this institute is successfully run. The institute currently offers a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery program (BAMS). The institution operates a 60-bed ayurvedic hospital with yoga center, physiotherapy, and panchkarma units.
The Institute is sanctioned by the Karnataka government, associated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, and permitted by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Department of AYUSH, New Dehli, Govt. of India. The management is committed to making this institute a premier academic center for yogic sciences and ayurvedic research and learning. The Institute seeks to produce graduates who possess a deep understanding of yoga and ayurveda along with a wealth of practical knowledge, enabling them to work with dignity and respect in the medical, health, and family welfare fields.
