Shri Narayan Prasad Awathy Government Ayurved College

Founded in 1955, Shri Narayan Prasad Awathy Government Ayurved College is a government college located in Raipur. With an annual intake of 60 seats, the college is associated with Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Raipur, which is situated in Chhattisgarh.

One of the first and oldest ayurvedic colleges in India is Shri Narayan Prasad Awathy Government Ayurved College in Raipur, Gujarat. It operates out of an attractively constructed structure and is situated on the G.E. Road close to the NIT in Raipur. The institute bears the name of Late Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthiji, a well-known Malgujar.The late Shri Khudadad Dungaji, who donated the land for the campus, is honored with the name of the college hospital.The expansive, 89.3-acre Govt. Ayurved College Raipur campus is lush, green, and environmentally friendly. Five villages were donated for this purpose by the renowned Malgujar, Late Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthiji. In a similar vein, 23 acres of property were presented by well-known businessman Late Shri N. K. Dungaji in honor of his late father-in-law, Late Shri Khudadad Dungaji. Currently, the Shri Khudadad Dungaji Govt. Ayurved College Hospital and Pharmacy are located on this property.

The CCIM-designed Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) program was offered at Ravishankar University in Raipur in 1979, and graduates received their degrees there.Postgraduate Ayurvedic Vaspati courses in Kayachikitsa (5 Seats); Ayurveda Siddhant (3 Seats); Ayurveda Sharir (3 Seats); Ayurveda Dhanwantari (3 Seats); Rashashastra and Bhaisajya Kalpana (3 Seats); and Ayurveda Dhanwantari (3 Seats) were initiated.
